Week Four!
In the last class session,
we were informed that we will not need to attend class on Monday the 18th
of February. I was very happy to hear that since I turn 26 on that day. Thus, I must make sure that I really work on
my research paper these next few weeks, along with the rest of my assignments. I always try to get a head of the game when it comes
to assignments, so that incase something were to happen I would still have time
to get things completed without being stressed and rushed.
I create check list and specific time slots
to make sure I have time for everything that I need to complete, and yet I
find myself procrastinating. I tend to find myself worried more about making list and creating a plan rather than completing
any tasks that are on the list. I know we
talked about time-management in class a few times and I am glad to understand
the importance of it, I just have to learn to better self-discipline myself.
I also know that if I want to receive the
best grade I can that I have to be at home on my birthday, proof-reading my research
paper, even if am ahead of the game. I know I am going to have a hard
time with this paper and will need to take advantage of all the extra time, because I really struggle with using quotations properly. Even though I will be doing homework this
year for my birthday, I know it is the best choose I have to make for my future
birthdays to be even better.
Maggie, we will actually not be meeting on Week Six, which is February 11. I guess this means you will be in class on your birthday--sorry about that! I had to teach on my birthday this year, so sometimes we need to make the difficult choices!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way, I sit down to do my homework but feel that I'm more worried about trying to figure out how I'm going to get the assignment done rather than just buckling down and actually doing the assignment. I had work on my birthday this year and I believe I had class or I did homework, but it is all worth it in the end!
